- The VRC is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Two open access computers and scanners are available for use. An orientation to the facility is required before use.
- The VRC maintains a Study Lounge in FAH 238. The Looping Movies Film Series runs in the Study Lounge from 8–5 every day, with a new film each week.
VRC Collections
While the VRC’s media collection includes 35mm slides, videotapes, and DVDs, the current focus is on the rapid development of a Digital Image Database for instructional and research use by the faculty. The DID currently contains over 12,000 fine art images for use in classroom presentations.
The VRC also maintains a small collection of fine art books and periodicals
which, like the electronic media, are available for short term loan to USF
faculty, staff, and students. The collection reflects the teaching and research
interests of the faculty within the CVPA School of Art & Art History.
Non-western areas of emphasis include Asian, Islamic, Native American, and
traditional and contemporary African art.
